World’s Only Event Accessibility Conference Heads to the U.S.

Accessible Events Show USA launches December 4, 2026, bringing practical accessibility education, compliance guidance, and inclusive event solutions to the U.S. events industry.

ARLINGTON, VA, July 30, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ — The Accessible Events Show USA is on December 4, 2026, at United Way Worldwide headquarters and online, bringing practical accessibility guidance to event professionals as new federal web accessibility requirements take hold across government, education, and the vendors that serve them.

The Accessible Events Show (AES), a conference dedicated to accessibility and inclusive event experiences, will make its U.S. debut on December 4, 2026, at the United Way Worldwide headquarters in Alexandria, Virginia, with a simultaneous online experience for attendees worldwide.

The Accessible Events Show launched in London in 2025, drawing 600 delegates from more than 15 countries and earning industry recognition for its impact on diversity and inclusion. Performedia is now producing the show’s first U.S. edition.

Accessible Events Show USA will bring industry leaders together to explore how accessibility can be built into every stage of the event journey, from planning and registration to live production, digital engagement, and post-event content.

The timing is no accident. One in four U.S. adults lives with a disability, according to the CDC, and a new DOJ rule now requires state and local governments to bring their websites and apps up to WCAG 2.1 AA standards starting April 2027. That mandate also reaches the vendors and contractors who serve them, making accessibility a compliance issue for much of the events industry, not just a values statement.

“Event planners across the U.S. keep asking us the same thing: How do we make our events truly accessible? The appetite for practical guidance is real, and the new federal rules make it urgent,” said Peter Hackes, President of Performedia.

Panels, keynotes, and hands-on workshops will cover what event professionals need most: digital accessibility, hybrid production, assistive technology, and WCAG conformance. Speakers include accessibility experts, event organizers, and disabled professionals sharing lived experience. A sponsor showcase will connect planners with captioning providers, ASL interpreters, and accessible design consultants.

AES USA will also be available online, allowing remote participants to join from anywhere. The virtual experience will include live captions, multilingual support, sign language interpretation, screen reader compatibility, keyboard navigation, and interactive engagement features designed to make the program accessible to every attendee.

Registration details, speaker announcements, and sponsorship opportunities will be released in the coming months. More information is available at www.aesusa.org

About Accessible Events Show
AES is the only event in the world built entirely around accessibility in the events industry. Even more uniquely, it was co-founded by industry insiders, including Shani Dhanda, one of the UK’s most recognized disability advocates; Orla Pearson, one of the events industry’s leading accessibility innovators and Co-Founder of AccessLOOP; and Catherine Grinyer, a recognized leader in accessible event design and Co-Founder of Attendable.

In its very first year, the show received the EN Awards Diversity & Inclusion Award and a Silver at the Cool Event Awards for Disruptor Attitude – two industry honors that very few debut events have ever achieved in the same year.
