LOS ANGELES, CA, August 02, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ — DTLA ArtNight today announced the largest expansion in the organization’s history with the official addition of the Fashion District beginning Thursday, August 6, 2026.

Since its launch, DTLA ArtNight has evolved into Downtown Los Angeles’s monthly celebration of arts, culture, architecture, hospitality, and community. Grand Performances × The Colburn School

Grand Performances and The Colburn School will present a special classical music program at Spiral Court at California Plaza on Thursday, August 6 at 6:00 p.m.

The program explores connections across classical music eras, cultures, and traditions, pairing familiar works with music by composers whose contributions have often received less attention in the standard classical repertoire.

The evening will include music by Joseph Bologne, Chevalier de Saint-Georges, Johann Sebastian Bach, Reena Esmail, Samuel Coleridge-Taylor, Erich Wolfgang Korngold, and Astor Piazzolla. Together, the works show how composers build on shared forms and traditions while bringing distinct cultural and personal perspectives to classical music.

The program will be conducted and performed by students and alumni of The Colburn School.

“Great programming should surprise and inspire. At Grand Performances, we’re always looking for ways to keep our curation fresh while creating opportunities for discovery. Our partnership with The Colburn School brings a new classical music experience to DTLA ArtNight, showcasing extraordinary music performed by students and alumni that spans cultures, generations, and traditions and reflects the diversity of voices that have enriched the classical repertoire.”
