DSO Vendor Insights Network (DVIN) Launches First-of-Its-Kind Vendor Trust Program for the DSO Industry

A new framework introduces a consistent standard for evaluating vendor credibility, performance, and reliability across the DSO space.

GEORGETOWN, TX April 14, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ — DSO Vendor Insights Network (DVIN) has announced the launch of the DVIN Trusted Vendor Program, powered by the DVIN Vendor Trust Index — a first-of-its-kind framework designed to bring reliability, accountability, and consistency to how vendors are evaluated in the DSO space.

For years, DSOs (Dental Support Organizations) have had no reliable way to assess vendor quality beyond paid visibility at sponsored events or referrals that have become increasingly unreliable. At the same time, the number of vendors entering the market — particularly in emerging categories like AI — has grown rapidly, making it more difficult for DSOs to evaluate which companies actually deliver.

“The DSO industry has been missing a reliable and consistent way to measure trust,” said Eileen Day, Founder of DVIN. “DSOs are being asked to make decisions without clear signals, and vendors who do the right things have had no structured way to stand apart. This program provides that for both.”

The DVIN Vendor Trust Index introduces a standardized scoring system based on three areas:

– Baseline credibility
– DSO performance
– Vendor partnership & business conduct

To ensure validity of feedback, vendors are evaluated using verified, domain-based feedback from both DSOs and other vendors. These inputs generate a Trust Index score out of 100, supported by three earned designations in the form of badges:

1) DVIN Verified Vendor
2) DSO Trusted Vendor
3) Industry Trusted Vendor

As part of the process, vendors earning the DVIN Verified Vendor badge must meet baseline requirements and sign a DVIN Vendor Pledge aligned with the standards DSOs expect from partners, including delivering on commitments, maintaining transparency, providing post-sale support, and operating with professionalism.

In addition to vendor scoring, DVIN will aggregate insights across the dataset to identify patterns in vendor performance, common breakdown areas, and the factors that matter most to DSOs when selecting and retaining partners.

The initial pilot will begin with DVIN sponsor vendors, with broader rollout planned as the system scales. Trust Index Scores and badges will be displayed on a newly built DVIN website, allowing DSOs to more easily identify vendors based on verified performance and professionalism.

Participation in this program cannot be purchased. Vendors are evaluated based on verified feedback, and badges are contingent on meeting defined scoring thresholds.

“This is about creating a level playing field for everyone,” Day added. “Vendors should be evaluated based on how they perform — not how much they spend to be seen or the crowd they associate with.”

The program will also introduce “The Vendies”, an annual recognition of top-performing vendors based on DVIN Vendor Trust Index data.

The DVIN Trusted Vendor Program is expected to redefine how vendors are evaluated, empower DSOs to make the right choices, and how consistent credibility is established across the DSO ecosystem.

Early response from DSOs has been strong, with many expressing interest in contributing evaluations of their current vendor partners.
