ATLANTA, GA, March 25, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ — The Second “Grizz Fest”, will take place on Sunday, April 19th at Avon Theater, Avondale Estates.
This is a non-profit memorial concert paying homage to the late Kevin “The Grizz” Meaders, Danny Simmons, and Jay Mecredy. Meaders played a vital role in Atlanta’s underground music scene, as both a performer and behind the curtain. Grizz Fest II brings families, bands, and friends together to help raise funds for Music On Main, Lilburn, GA. Summer Music Camp For Kids.
“Grizz” and Danny Simmons touched a whole generation of Atlanta musicians and fans by doing what they loved most. Kevin Meaders excelled at sound engineering, guiding careers, and making tons of friends along the way. Danny played in numerous area bands and entertained Atlanta for decades. Promoters, Bob Fortin and Ken Davidson said, ” We intend to celebrate our friends’ lives by sending kids to summer music camp and by putting on a spectacular concert in the process.”
Performing artists: Members of The Grapes, Robert Page and David Fisch w/ Urban ShakeDancers, Deadcetera, Token Rhyme, Mikail Peterson & Friends, Trina Meade & Co. w/ Donna Hopkins, Ralph Roddenbery, Peach Ice Cream, and Mikel K. Musicians at large Trey Miller, Brooks Smith, and surprise guests. Grizz Fest will raise funds for The Summer Music Camp.
