He served as the Chairman of the Quality Assurance Committee for the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Montefiore Medical Center and was the Director of the Plastic Surgery Clinics there from 2001 to 2009. His research has been presented at national conferences, including the American Association of Plastic Surgeons and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He is also an Honorary Police Surgeon for the New York Police Department.
