Law Bear Names Vanessa Soto Vice President of Intake Operations

Law Bear has appointed Vanessa Soto as Vice President of Intake Operations, strengthening its leadership and intake processes while supporting efficient client service and continued organizational growth.

PHOENIX, AZ, August 12, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ — Law Bear Injury Lawyers announced the appointment of Vanessa Soto as Vice President of Intake, an executive leadership position reflecting the firm’s commitment to treating client intake as a strategic function rather than an administrative process. Soto brings more than 20 years of experience building and leading high-volume personal injury intake operations and will oversee the systems, people, and technology that shape every client’s first interaction with the firm.

As Vice President of Intake, Soto will lead Law Bear’s intake strategy across personnel, operational processes, technology platforms, quality assurance, and performance analytics. Her responsibilities include developing systems that ensure individuals injured in car accidents, truck accidents, and other serious incidents receive a prompt, compassionate, and thorough response when they contact the firm.

Law Bear established the position as part of its broader approach to client service, recognizing that the first conversation an injured person has with a law firm often influences everything that follows. Early communication can affect how quickly evidence is preserved, how injuries are documented, how clients are connected with appropriate resources, and whether they feel supported during an unfamiliar legal process.

While many law firms view intake primarily as an administrative function, Law Bear has elevated it to a senior leadership role responsible for continuously improving the client experience and maintaining accountability across the firm’s intake operations.

Soto’s career spans more than two decades in legal intake, operations, and client service. She spent more than a decade in executive intake leadership at one of the nation’s largest high-volume personal injury firms, where she advanced from Intake Coordinator to Intake Manager before overseeing complex intake operations.

Throughout her career, she has personally handled hundreds of thousands of injury-related calls while designing and managing departments dedicated to quality control, referral management, inbound and outbound communications, client satisfaction, and lost-opportunity recovery.

Her past experience also includes developing key performance indicator (KPI) frameworks, implementing intake technology, managing multi-office operations, and providing intake consulting and training to personal injury law firms nationwide. She has served as a guest speaker for The National Trial Lawyers on best practices for legal intake and client communication.

At Law Bear, Soto is developing an intake model built around five core principles: hiring the right people, implementing effective technology, fostering a positive and accountable culture, encouraging blameless problem-solving, and using analytics to continuously improve performance. The goal is to create consistent, high-quality experiences for every prospective client who contacts the firm, regardless of when or how they reach out.

“Intake is the most critical department in a law firm—not entry-level work, but the front line of client experience,” said Vanessa Soto, Vice President of Intake at Law Bear Injury Lawyers. “Every call is someone on the hardest day of their life. My job is to make sure that in that first conversation, they feel heard, they get straight answers, and nothing gets dropped.”

President Sean Schmitt said the firm’s decision to make intake an executive leadership function reflects its broader philosophy about serving injured clients.

“Most firms bolt intake onto the side of the business and then wonder why clients feel like a number,” Schmitt said. “We made it a leadership seat because the first ten minutes a client spends with us sets the tone for everything after. Putting someone with Vanessa’s track record there says exactly how seriously we take it.”

Earlier this year, Law Bear Injury Lawyers received approval to operate under Arizona’s Alternative Business Structure program, which permits qualified law firms to operate under an innovative regulatory framework while remaining subject to oversight by the Arizona Supreme Court. The firm’s leadership believes combining experienced legal representation with executive-level operational leadership will help create a more responsive and client-centered experience for individuals seeking legal guidance after serious accidents.
