Bruce Allen Craig Highlights Community Impact After Dancing with the Stars Austin

Bruce Allen Craig of Austin, Texas reflects on participation in a record-setting charity event supporting child protection.

AUSTIN, TX, January 21, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ — Bruce Allen Craig, CEO and President of Big Easy Entertainment, is highlighting the impact of the recent Dancing with the Stars Austin event, where community leaders, performers, sponsors, and volunteers came together to raise critical funds for the Center for Child Protection.

Craig participated in the event on December 6, joining fellow dancers in support of the organisation’s mission to protect and advocate for children who have experienced abuse. The evening resulted in a significant milestone, raising over $2.95 million to support services for children and families across the Austin area.

“What an incredible night,” Craig said. “The passion, energy, and commitment from everyone involved truly stood out. This wasn’t about performance. It was about showing up for children who need protection and care.”

The Center for Child Protection serves as the first stop for children in Travis County when abuse is suspected, offering forensic interviews, medical evaluations, therapy, and family advocacy. The funds raised through the event will directly support these services.

“Because of this community, nearly $3 million will go toward life-changing work,” Craig said. “That level of generosity shows what’s possible when people come together with purpose.”

Craig also acknowledged the behind-the-scenes contributors who made the event possible.

“I want to congratulate every dancer, sponsor, volunteer, and supporter,” he said. “Your commitment didn’t just make the event successful — it made a real difference for children and families.”

Reflecting on his involvement, Craig emphasised that participation was about responsibility, not recognition.

“I’m proud to have played a small part,” he said. “Moments like this remind you that leadership extends beyond business.”

Craig encourages individuals to learn more about the Center for Child Protection and consider ways they can support organisations making a direct impact in their own communities.

“To protect children, momentum matters,” he said. “And this night helped move that mission forward.”
